The conference will provide you with plenty of opportunities to engage, connect, and share your ideas and examples about new information centric research capabilities: how information and communications technologies help researchers to collect, manage, share, process, analyse, store, find, and re-use information. Start the week Sunday evening at the welcome reception. On Monday morning the conference begins, with three days of featured speakers, presentations, birds-of-a-feather sessions, point/counterpoint debates, and posters. The week finishes with workshops on Thursday.

  • New Zealand’s National eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) - The New Zealand government recently announced plans to invest $27.4 million over the next four years in the National (New Zealand) eScience Infrastructure, or NeSI for short. Six partner research organisations are co-investing more than $21 million over the same period. This coordinated investment includes both high performance computers and the development and operation of ‘eScience services’, which will help New Zealand’s research community leverage the infrastructure effectively. The computational platforms and support personnel will be distributed around New Zealand, at four institutions: the Universities of Auckland, Canterbury, and Crown research institutes NIWA and AgResearch. The University of Otago and Landcare Research are also joining in the co-investment, partnering with AgResearch and the University of Auckland respectively. Access to NeSI computing platforms and services will be prioritised to areas supporting the research priorities and Government’s Economic Growth Agenda. These range from agriculture to health, materials, biological industries, energy, environment, climate and hazards mitigation research. Click here to visit the NeSI Website
